Since leaving the band The Nields, David Nields has been busy writing songs and scripts for various projects, including Bugs, Dinosaurs, and Fairytell.

Avilasa was an original musical, written by David Nields and the cast and crew, based (loosely) on Mesopotamian myths and legends.

The Garden was an original musical, written by David Nields and the cast.
